Tabla de Rizos: Conoce tu Tipo de Cabello de 2A a 4C

Curl Chart: Know your Hair Type from 2A to 4C

Knowing your hair type is essential for effectively caring for your curls and enjoying the process. At Tizia Cosmetics, we believe every curl is unique, which is why we've created a comprehensive curl chart to help you choose the most suitable products and techniques.

What is a curling iron?

It's a classification that allows you to identify the natural shape and texture of your hair, dividing it into 4 main types:

Type 1 : Smooth

Type 2 : Wavy

Type 3 : Curly

Type 4 : Afro

Each type is subdivided into A, B, and C according to thickness, density, and wave or curl pattern. Here's a breakdown!

Type 2: Wavy

2A : Soft, fine waves with minimal frizz. They need volume without being weighed down. Use lightweight products like mousses or defining creams.

2B : More defined waves and some frizz. They need frizz control and definition. Try soft gels or leave-ins with medium hold.

2C : Thick waves with a tendency to curl and high frizz. They need hydration and control. Use moisturizing creams and anti-frizz gels.

Type 3: Curly

3A : Loose, shiny, and soft curls with low frizz. They need light definition. Opt for leave-in conditioners and gels with flexible hold.

3B : Tighter, more voluminous curls with moderate frizz. They need deep hydration. Use the LOC technique (liquid, oil, cream) and avoid sulfates.

3C : Small, dense curls with lots of frizz. They need intense hydration. Masks rich in emollients and hair steam are your allies.

Type 4: Afro

4A : Well-defined spiral curls with some shrinkage. They need constant hydration. Use rich creams and nourishing oils.

4B : Zigzag with no defined pattern, and high frizz. They need hydration and protection. Techniques like bantu knots or braids help to lengthen the curls.

4C : Very tight curls with a lot of shrinkage. They need intense hydration and minimal manipulation. Use heavy oils and protective styling products.

Remember that every head of hair is unique. These tips are just guidelines, and it's best to experiment until you find what works best for you. Enjoy the process and rediscover your curls!
